The opt-in form is the heart of any squeeze page. This guide covers all the form configuration options — fields, behaviour after submission, and connecting to your email service.
Form settings live in your page's Settings tab under the Opt-in Form section. Squeeze page templates have a form built in — you don't add a form, you configure the existing one.
Pick which email service receives opt-ins:
You need to connect your email service first in the Integrations page before it appears as an option. The dropdown only shows providers you've already connected.
If your email service isn't directly supported, use the HTML Form option:
<form>...</form> portion into the fieldHTML only — no JavaScript widget codes. If your email service gives you a JavaScript embed widget (e.g. a <script> tag that builds the form), it won't work. You need the plain HTML version of the form. Most providers offer both — look for the "raw HTML" option.
Once you've picked an autoresponder, the List/Campaign dropdown loads automatically with your available lists. Pick which one new opt-ins should go to.
Make sure to pick a list. If left blank, the form will appear to work but opt-ins won't actually go anywhere.
Toggle the name field on or off:
For most landing pages, email-only wins. Adding a name field reduces conversions by 5-10% on average. Only ask for the name if you genuinely need it for personalisation.
What happens once someone submits the form. Two options:
The form on the page is replaced with a custom thank-you message. Best for:
Edit the message in the Thank You Message field. Keep it brief — confirm the action, set expectations for what's next.
Send them to a different page after opt-in. Best for:
Paste the destination URL in the Redirect URL field. Make sure to include https://.
Small text shown below the form (e.g. "🔒 We respect your privacy. No spam, ever."). Builds trust by addressing the visitor's concern that they'll be spammed. Keep it short.
ConvertPages keeps the form intentionally simple. Things you can't do directly:
If you need any of these, use the HTML Form (Any Provider) option and embed code from a service that supports them.
Before driving traffic, test your form:
Contact support if your form isn't capturing opt-ins.
