Connecting GetResponse
Send opt-ins from your squeeze pages straight into a GetResponse list. Connection uses your GetResponse API key — a one-time setup.
Getting your GetResponse API key
- Log in to your GetResponse account
- Click your profile icon (top right) → Integrations and API
- Click the API tab
- Click Generate API key
- Give it a name like
ConvertPages (so you can identify it later)
- Copy the key that's displayed
⚠️
Your API key is the equivalent of a password for your GetResponse account. Don't share it with anyone, post it publicly, or paste it into untrusted websites. ConvertPages stores it encrypted.
Connecting in ConvertPages
- Open ConvertPages → Integrations from the top nav
- Find the GetResponse row and click Connect
- Paste your API key into the input
- Click Save
If the key is valid, the row turns to Connected immediately.
Using GetResponse on a page
Connecting your account is just the first step. Each squeeze page also needs to know which GetResponse list to send opt-ins to:
- Open the page in the editor
- Open the form settings for the opt-in form
- Pick GetResponse as the integration
- Pick a campaign/list from the dropdown
- Save and click Update
Disconnecting
From the Integrations page, click Disconnect on the GetResponse row. Pages currently configured to send to GetResponse will stop adding subscribers until you reconnect.
You can also revoke the API key directly from inside GetResponse — go to Integrations and API → API tab → click the trash icon next to the key.
Troubleshooting
"Invalid API key" error
- Make sure you copied the full key — it's a long string, easy to truncate
- Make sure there are no spaces before or after the key when pasting
- Try generating a new key in GetResponse and reconnecting
Connected but subscribers aren't showing up
- Confirm the page form is set to GetResponse and has a campaign/list selected
- Confirm the page has been updated after settings changes
- GetResponse may filter subscribers it considers low-quality — check your GetResponse dashboard for any blocked imports
- If a subscriber already exists on the list, GetResponse silently skips the duplicate (this is normal)
