Page Background

Set the background colour of your page body — the area below the header. This is different from the Header Background, which only colours the top section.

Where to find it

In the editor, click the Page Background button in the top toolbar (paint icon). A panel opens with a colour picker.

Setting the colour

1. Click the Page Background button in the top toolbar
2. Use the colour picker, or paste a HEX code
3. Click Apply — the page updates immediately

Page Background vs Header Background

Two separate controls that often confuse new users:

• Header Background (Page Settings → Colours) — the top "hero" section with your logo, headline, and main CTA
• Page Background (top toolbar) — everything BELOW the header (body copy, additional sections, footer area)

Most templates pair a dark header with a light page background (white, off-white, soft grey) so body copy stays readable.

What page backgrounds to avoid

• Saturated colours (bright yellow, neon green) — feels like a 2003 affiliate page
• Dark backgrounds with dark text — readability tanks, especially on mobile in sunlight
• Anything that clashes with your header — if your header is navy, don't pair it with bright purple body background

Page backgrounds that work

• Pure white (#FFFFFF) — clean, professional, maximum contrast for text
• Off-white (#FAFAFA or #F5F5F5) — slightly softer, less harsh on eyes
• Soft beige (#FAF7F2) — feels premium, works for warm/lifestyle niches
• Cool grey (#F4F5F7) — works for tech/SaaS-style pages
