Connecting MailerLite

Send opt-ins from your squeeze pages straight into a MailerLite group. Connection uses your MailerLite API token — a one-time setup that takes about two minutes.

How it works

Once connected, MailerLite appears as an option in your squeeze page's Autoresponder dropdown. Pick a group from the list, publish, and every opt-in gets added to that group automatically. No form code to paste, no fiddly hidden fields.

💡

MailerLite calls their subscriber lists "groups". If you're used to AWeber's "lists" or GetResponse's "campaigns" — same idea, different name. Everything you'd normally call a "list" is a "group" in MailerLite.

Getting your MailerLite API token

  1. Log in to your MailerLite dashboard
  2. Go to Integrations in the left sidebar (or open this direct link)
  3. Find the MailerLite API card and click Use (or Manage if you already have tokens)
  4. Click Generate new token
  5. Give the token a memorable name — something like "ConvertPages"
  6. Click Create token
  7. Copy the token immediately — MailerLite only shows it once
⚠️

Save the token somewhere safe as soon as you generate it. If you close the page without copying, you'll need to generate a new one.

Connecting in ConvertPages

  1. Open Integrations in ConvertPages
  2. Find the MailerLite card
  3. Paste your API token into the API Token field
  4. Click Connect
  5. The status turns green and shows "Connected" — you're done

ConvertPages validates the token by pulling your groups list. If it works, you're good. If not, see the troubleshooting section below.

Using MailerLite on a squeeze page

  1. Open any squeeze page in the editor
  2. Open Page Settings → scroll to Opt-in Form
  3. From the Autoresponder dropdown, choose MailerLite
  4. The Group dropdown appears — pick which group opt-ins should go to
  5. Publish your page

Test it by opting in with your own email — the subscriber should appear in your MailerLite group within a few seconds.

How opt-ins land in MailerLite

When someone submits your form, ConvertPages sends the email (and name, if you have the Name field enabled) directly to MailerLite. Subscribers are added with an active status straight away.

💡

What about double opt-in? MailerLite has an account-level double opt-in setting. If it's enabled in your MailerLite account, subscribers will still receive the confirmation email — because MailerLite enforces that regardless of how they were added.

To check: MailerLite dashboard → SettingsSubscribe settings → Double opt-in toggle.

Refreshing your group list

ConvertPages caches your group list for 10 minutes to keep the editor snappy. If you create a new group in MailerLite and don't see it in the dropdown, wait 10 minutes or reload the editor.

Troubleshooting

"Invalid token" when connecting

"API access is disabled on this MailerLite account"

MailerLite disables API access on some free/trial accounts, or on accounts that have been flagged for spam. Check your MailerLite account status — you may need to verify your account or upgrade to enable API access. If you're on a legitimate paid plan, contact MailerLite support.

"Could not connect to MailerLite"

Usually a transient network error on MailerLite's end. Wait a minute and try again. If it keeps failing, check MailerLite's status page.

Connected fine but no groups appear in the dropdown

You don't have any groups in MailerLite yet. Log in to MailerLite → SubscribersGroupsCreate group. Then come back to ConvertPages, wait a minute for the cache to refresh (or reload), and the new group will show up.

Opt-ins aren't reaching MailerLite

How do I disconnect?

In ConvertPages: Integrations → MailerLite card → Disconnect. This deletes the token from ConvertPages. Any pages using MailerLite will stop capturing opt-ins until you reconnect.

Can I connect multiple MailerLite accounts?

Not currently — each ConvertPages account can connect to one MailerLite account at a time. You can send opt-ins to any group within that account, though.
